Here are some photos of the assembly process of this bookcase. Above is the finished product, waiting to be decorated and utilized by the home owner. The images below document some of the steps that led up to this, starting with the rough assembly of parts in my shop.

From here everything is disassembled and sanded. In this case, the parts were then sent to a professional finisher for a nice, durable sprayed lacquer finish.

On this project, the parts were delivered to the job and assembled on site.

The parts surrounding the fireplace were cut on site to ensure a tight fit. Everything else comes together quickly due to being pre-fit in the shop.

Finally, moldings are added to complete the built-in look.
